What we keep, and who else sees it.
You are thinking about describing unpublished work to a company you have just met. That is a reasonable thing to be careful about, so this page is written plainly and says the awkward parts too.
The short version.
- Your sequences stay on our machines. Every instrument runs inside our own cloud project on Google Cloud. Nothing you design is uploaded to somebody else's protein-design service.
- We never ask what you are working on to let you in. Not one of the questions at the door is about your science.
- We delete it on a clock, without you asking. Access requests go after twelve months.
- One measurement tool, and nothing else. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are used and where people get stuck. No advertising, no data broker, nothing here is sold.

What we keep
If you ask for access. Your email address, which comes from Google rather than from a box you typed — we never see your password. Plus whichever of the four questions you chose to answer: whether you have a lab, where you work, how you found us, and anything you wanted to ask us. All four are optional and skipping them costs you nothing.
We do not ask what you are working on. That is deliberate, and it is the strongest promise on this page because it is structural rather than a policy: the question is not there, so there is nothing to leak. It is the one thing on the way in you could lose by telling us, and it is not what decides an invitation.
If you are let in. What you write describing the protein you want, the answers you give when we ask follow-up questions, and everything the system produces for you — the designs, the measurements, the reports, and the record of what was sent to each instrument and what came back. That record is the reason a result can be trusted at all, so it is kept with the work.
How the site is used. We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which parts of the flow people get stuck on — the landing page, sign-in, the steps of a campaign. It sets cookies in your browser and Google receives that activity. We do not use its advertising features, Google Signals is switched off, and Google is set to drop any email address from what it records. There are no advertising trackers, nothing here is sold or shared for marketing, and signing in stores a token in your browser only so you stay signed in.
What happens to it on its own
Access requests are deleted after twelve months — approved, declined or still waiting, all three. You do not have to ask, and there is nothing for you to remember. We would rather run a clock than have people chase us.
Your design work is not on that clock, on purpose: it is the thing you came for, and deleting a customer's results on a timer would be us tidying up at your expense. It stays while you are with us. Ask us to delete it and we delete it by hand, and write back when it is gone — there is no button for this and we would rather say so than pretend.
Who else sees it
The honest split is this. The instruments are ours; the reasoning is not.
- Nobody, for the instruments. Every instrument we run — the ones that design the structure, fold it, check whether a catalytic site really holds its metal, and screen it for hazards — runs on machines inside our own cloud project on Google Cloud, from images we build. We add instruments as the science needs them, and a new one runs inside those walls or it does not run at all. This is why Vidika self-hosts instead of renting a design platform: a sequence you have not published should not be sitting in a third party's queue.
- Anthropic and Google — the AI models that read your description and plan the work. This is the part that does leave our machines. Your words are sent to them to do the job you asked for, and there is no version of this product where that does not happen.
- Google — signs you in, provides the cloud our machines and storage run on, and runs Google Analytics, which receives which pages of this site you visit and in what order. Not your name, and Google is set to drop any email address before it is recorded.
- Resend — delivers our emails, so it handles your address.
- Public scientific sources — when the system looks something up, the question goes to public archives and patent offices, some of them reached through the search built into the AI models above. Those searches carry the scientific question, never your name or your address.
Nobody else. If that list ever grows, this page changes before it does.
Where it lives
On Google Cloud, in the United States. If you are in the EU or the UK, that means your information is transferred to the United States, under the standard contractual terms Google Cloud applies to its customers.
What you can ask for
Whatever the law where you live entitles you to, and the same three things regardless of where that is: to be told what we hold about you, to be sent a copy of it, and to have it deleted early rather than waiting for the clock. There is no form and no account setting. One address does all three.
